In this welcoming workshop, we’ll slow down together to be present and soak up our surroundings: the shimmer of sunlight on the water, the tangle of riverbank grasses, the way the light filters through the trees. We will play with watercolor, gouache, pastels, and colored pencils to explore image-making, capturing the colors, textures, and mood of the St. Croix River. Whether you are an experienced painter or trying something new, this will be a chance to experiment without pressure, and to come away with a unique remembrance of your day paddling the river.
