Natural Dye & Shibori

  • Treehaus Public Art 1017 North Cascade Street Osceola, WI, 54020 United States (map)

Shibori is a Japanese resist-dyeing technique where fabric is shaped, secured, and dyed to create unique patterns. It involves manipulating the fabric through folding, stitching, or twisting before dyeing, resulting in various patterns. Students will receive cotton fabric that they can cut into smaller pieces if desired. Additionally, each student should bring an item equivalent to a T-shirt. You will learn several traditional Shibori techniques to create various patterns. We will have three different dye baths available to develop a range of colors and ombres. It will be a fantastic experience, so grab your friends and sign up today!
