Visual poetry is a hybrid art form where the placement of words, letters, illustrations, collage, and typography is as vital to meaning as the text itself. This course is designed to broaden your understanding of visual poetry and energize your creative process through inventive prompts, focused studio time, and collaborative feedback. Students should bring their preferred art materials, original poetry or poems by another writer, and a sketchbook.
