Natural Brush-Making

  • Treehaus Studio 1017 N Cascade Street Osceola United States (map)

Join us for a hands-on workshop celebrating the artistry of natural brush-making! In this immersive session, you'll explore the unique characteristics of diverse materials and master the intricate methods for turning them into custom brushes. Explore both time-honored and contemporary techniques as you craft brushes from willow, birch, buckthorn, and polypore mushroom, using fibers such as deer tail, llama wool, mink, plant fibers, human hair, and horse hair.

A highlight of the workshop is the chance to create your own set of special effects brushes, each tailored for specific artistic techniques. Leave with one-of-a-kind brushes that produce stunning textures, patterns, and strokes. Use these brushes with acrylic and watercolor paints, ceramic glazes, encaustics, chalk pastels, stains, and inks.

This workshop is also a wonderful opportunity for makers to give a special artist in your life the gift of a custom brush collection, creating a thoughtful and personal present. Reserve a spot today and create a meaningful gift.
