Carve-a-Bug, Print-a-bug
Do you love bugs? Have you ever looked closely at our tiniest critter friends? Have you examined the colors, patterns, and textures of the small creatures around us?
Here’s your chance to utilize your observation skills and put your Bug Eyes to work! Working alongside naturalist-artist Amy Mester, we will study the microscopic world of insects, magnifying their coolest features and representing them through printmaking. Using a variety of carving tools and ink, you will both learn and play, ending up with a batch of beautifully hand-carved prints suitable for the Queen Bee herself!
Open Studio
Creating art in a studio environment is a wonderful way to unlock your creativity, and it can be a fulfilling experience for everyone, regardless of skill level. You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy your time in the studio. This stress-free atmosphere provides an opportunity to practice your skills while connecting with others.
We will explore both outdoor and indoor spaces and learn each other. While working on-site, we will offer encouragement, constructive critique, and knowledge sharing to ensure you don't feel lost or uncertain about what to do. You'll benefit from the comfort of being around other creative individuals.
Creating sacred spaces
Join Treehaus Studio and Better Place Forests for a two-part ceramic workshop designed to guide you in creating a sacred space for healing rituals. The goal is to establish a physical location where healing is embraced rather than avoided.
In this workshop, you will design and hand-build your own altar, which will serve as the focal point of your sacred space. Before you begin crafting your altar, choose a quiet, clean area in your home or studio where it can remain undisturbed, such as a corner or a small table. Bring measurements of your space so we can design our altars to fit seamlessly into your designated area.
