Lichens not only enhance the beauty of our riverway but also play a crucial role in the environment. Join passionate lichen enthusiast Tanner Barnhart as we explore the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway by canoe, gaining a unique perspective on these fascinating organisms.

This section is renowned for its leisurely paddle, featuring stunning geological formations and diverse river life, flora, and fauna. Join us for a relaxing journey along the river while learning about lichens, their environmental importance, and how to identify them! We can vouch for Tanner's expertise and passion, and we promise you won't be disappointed!

Jessica Turtle with Treehaus Studio will accompany the ride, providing supplies and instructions for documenting the Field Study using simple illustration and note taking. This is an excellent opportunity to explore your ability to observe and record your findings visually.

Paddlefish Adventures will handle registration and provide canoes and the shuttle service.
