Join us for a beautiful paddle down the St. Croix River and enjoy a day dedicated to slow observation, sketching, and watercolor activities. We will take a break at the halfway point, Eagle's Nest Campground, to discuss the basics of color mixing, various brushstroke techniques, and creating textures. Everyone will have the opportunity to steer the canoes, allowing others to relax and capture what they see.
We will gather at Paddlefish Adventures to catch a shuttle to the Wisconsin Interstate Landing. Once there, we will pair off into canoes and begin our river adventure. As we paddle, we’ll focus on the stunning landscape, taking note of the colors and textures surrounding us. We will also make frequent stops to explore sandbars, enjoy a picnic, explore and swim.
Prepare for a full day of sunshine, good company, and fun on the National Scenic Riverway! This class is excellent for beginners, but attendees of all skill levels are welcome, as we learn best from those with whom we share space.
